Are you that someone in a child’s life?

Is it still unreal that you are ‘MOM’ and you feel blue and melancholic, and tears fall for apparently no reason?

Do you instinctively know there is a respectful way of parenting- but don’t know where to start?

Do you wish people understand that stay-at-home-moms don't "just chill all day", and need me-time to recuperate?

Do some days feel like you have aced this whole ‘parenting’ thing, yet things seem to be going awry?

Every morning, are you fighting a battle of career vs motherhood?

Do you wish there was a caregiver who understood your parenting philosophy, so you did not have to ‘put up’ with them simply because you had no choice?

Are you looking for your ‘Village’?

Let us at The Nurturant be your voice of reason, a validation of your parenting instincts when you are assailed by conflicting advice and noise - tradition and culture, modern science, social media, friends, and family (however well meaning), parenting books and the biggest contributor to this noise – the latest parenting hack or fad!

We believe that nurturing a child should be emotionally fulfilling and intellectually stimulating, while honouring their unique needs. We believe in care-giving that is sensitive, responsive, aware of its environment and entrenched in respect.

All this, while being able to look after yourself!

Allow us to partner with you while you raise your family.

Unleashing Curiosity and Critical Thinking: The Power of Inquiry-Based Learning

Introduction Welcome to the world of inquiry-based learning, where children's natural curiosity takes center stage! As John Holt, the esteemed educator, once said, "Children are naturally wired to...

Testimonials

I appreciate for all the efforts you put to bring out the best out of Adhrit. I see you doing a very positive interaction with the kids which strengthens the relationship with them. Due to this I see change in Adhrit from howling to come to play group to happily saying: Bye! Mumma.

I really feel Adhrit looks up to you in lot of ways.

And lastly, THANK YOU for allowing Adhrit to be creative and letting him do things his way and not give him instructions to follow. It is very rare to see a mentor like you who appreciates kid’s individuality.

Divya, Mother of a 2 year old

In the midst of the darkest months in 2021 , when everything started to shut down again, schools continued online , and we began to despair that our daughter would not get any social interaction with other children - Tinker Lab came into our lives. Pallavi opened her heart and home to Ananya , and the little social bubble she had created still envelops us all with its playful learning . Ananya listens to stories, (tells them too!) , plays with mud and paint , shares her snacks, and learns a whole lot of stuff along the way. To sum it up- when her grandma came visiting , Ananya showed her the concept of day and night with a flashlight and a globe - something she had seen at TL - and did Pallavi Aunty proud!

Anusha Suryanarayan, Mother of a 3 year old

After being holed up at home during covid lockdown, I was nervous whether Nalini would settle in at her new play group, Tinker Lab. But the warmth, freedom and positive vibes of this place ensured that she not just settled in from day 1 but absolutely loves her time here. All good things are in abundance at TL - whether it is love and care for the children, free space for them to move around or the most amazing collections of toys and resources to tinker with….. and all this with excellent learning and development happening in the background!! Hats off to Pallavi for conceptualising this and putting her heart into it, she puts in a lot of thought behind each activity planned for the kids. Highly highly recommend, it’s truly the best place young parents can send their little learners to...

The TL experience is curated with a lot of care and attention towards each child’s interest while introducing them to new experiences at their own pace. Pallavi takes the time to get to know each child individually and is very closely tuned in to their personalities, and likes and dislikes. She nurtures their natural curiosity and provides them a safe environment to explore. My son has benefitted immensely from his time at TL.

Sirisha Ramanand, Mom of a 3 year old

Our son Ayaan has been going to Tinker Lab for over a year. He loves TL! He enjoys meeting his friends and they play, read, paint, play music and dance together. As a parent, Pallavi has been a god send, she listens to what you feel your child needs and treats them as the little individuals that they are. It’s not a business as much as a passion. We couldn’t ask for more.

Rashim and Vivek Surie, Parents of a 4 year old

Tinker Lab has been just a wonder for my 2 year old. We were worried about his transition into a school after being stuck at home since his birth due to covid but Pallavi and the wonderful staff at Tinker Lab ensured a smooth and easy transition for him. It’s a super safe space but with endless opportunities for the kids to play and learn new things and interact with one another. We could not be more happy with the way Pallavi has set up and scaled Tinker Lab.

Rohini Mathur Verma, Mom of a 2 year old

The philosophy of self guided learning is what sets tinker lab apart from other early childhood learning centres/play groups. My son came to TL when he was just 4 years old and we saw that he really enjoyed the fact that he could explore or engage with any toy or activity the way he wanted and there was no fixed process of how to play. The type of activities planned help build curiosity and pushed the child to take the lead. For eg- rather than focusing on the perfect pencil grip - sensory play was encouraged to help build their natural grip.

TL helps build the foundation and confidence a child needs to be able to question and engage in a meaningful manner. Pallavi is a passionate educator who personally invests in every child and them looking forward to going to TL everyday is a true testament of her commitment.

Tinker lab has been one of the most wonderful experiences for my child over the last one year. The philosophy at Tinker Lab is very aligned to our parenting philosophy of being facilitators and letting kids lead their own learning journeys. I have seen my child evolve and learn everyday because of the environment provided at Tinker Lab which is safe, non judgemental and encourages creative and logical thinking.
